Cynthia Johnson is featured in the upcoming TV show "Pop Giganten: One Hit Wonder" of the German private network RTL (RTL2).
The two hour program shows the different stories behind songs and artists, celebrating their path to worldwide fame from the early beginning of their career until today.
Audiovisual material provided by megabien entertainment includes a short clip of "SHAKE", a song from Cynthia's new album, and footage from her concert at the "Minnesota History Museum", featuring Twin Cities musicians, among them are: David Eiland, Deb Brown, Carrie Harrington, Stephanie Devine, Russ King, Daryl Boudreaux, Kevin Washington, Peter Vircks, Deevo and Yohannes Tona.
The two hour program will air on RTL2 on Tuesday, March 21st at 22:15H (CET).

Cynthia Johnson prepares for touring in Europe and Asia.
Megabien Entertainment, Cynthia Johnson´s management company, plans various appearances, together with singer-songwriter Stasan and his band. Concerts will be scheduled in various locations in the South of France and across Germany, as well as in major cities in Asia, such as Bangkok, Hong Kong, Singapore, Seoul and Tokyo.

A revision of the original dance charts in order to include downloads and online internet sales changed the charts to a great degree.
According to Billboard Publications, Funkytown with Cynthia Johnson on lead vocals lands on No. 5 of the official 2013 list of "The Top 100 Disco Songs of All-Time".
Only Gloria Gaynor with "I Will Survive" on first postion, followed by "Le Freak" of Chic, "Stayin´Alive" by the Bee Gees, and "Super Freak" by Rick James dominated Funkytown.
Songs were chosen for this list based on their initial popularity, as well as their lasting popularity down through the years, and on their overall impact on the genre.

Entering the Hot 100 at #89 on March 29, 1980, “Funkytown” will climb to the top of the chart nine weeks later. It was on this day May 31 in 1980 when the single with Cynthia Johnson on lead vocals began its run on No. 1 on the Billboard Magazine Hot 100. The song held the top spot for 4 weeks.
The song Funkytown also became a huge hit worldwide, topping the charts in 28 countries around the world.
Within a short timeframe the single sold several million copies in the US alone, also sending the accompanying album “Mouth To Mouth” to number five on the Billboard Top 200 (number five R&B), and earned a Platinum certification from the RIAA in the same year.

The 70's style mega-party was opened by hitmaker Steve Nervo of La Flavour ("Mandolay").

Cynthia Johnson has been elected as one of the Honorees of this years “Women Unite to Win”, an annual Women's Appreciation Banquet that addresses a yearly alternating important cause involving women in the community who have motivated, educated and empowered others.
This year´s event has selected HIV/AIDS as its subject of interest. The banquet shall serve as a platform to bring awareness about this disease to the Minnesota area and to communicate the importance of educating the community about prevention, treatment and care. Besides its informational aspect, it also aims to raise funds with a portion to be donated to the “Aliveness Project”, a local HIV/AIDS organization.
Each year “Women Unite to Win” honors some of Minnesota's phenomenal women. This year the state´s most prominent female musical legends are credited; outstanding women who have helped to pave the way for many musicians, empowered and educated fellow citizens, and inspired and motivated people in difficult, critical phases of their lives.
The banquet is held at the Radisson Blu Hotel at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota on March 14, 2015. Organizer is the non-profit National Empowerment Group. The event is supported by Radisson Blu Hotels & Resorts, Mall of America and BMA.

Cynthia Johnson just completed the first tunes of her new record SHAKE, produced by award winning producer Mark Howard and independent production company megabien entertainment.
The recording sessions took place in LA and were accompanied by some of the most appreciated session musicians, among them bass player Daryl Johnson (The Rolling Stones, the Neville Brothers, Bob Dylan, Emmylou Harris, etc.).
